Several Pella-based tennis players qualified for the individual state tournaments this week.

On Wednesday, Emily Blom of Pella won her third consecutive regional title to qualify for a third consecutive season, while the doubles duo of Katy Roose and Syndey Van Arendonk of Pella Christian won the regional championship. The Dutch duo of Alloree Else and Lily VanDusseldorp qualified for State in Doubles by placing in 2nd as well.

Earlier this week, the #1 in 1A Pella boys tennis team swept up the four spots available in the boys district meet to earn state individual tournament bids:

Singles:
Ben Van Gorp, Beau Bush

Doubles:
Jack Briggs/Joshua Roozeboom
Cameron Rowe/Cashen Thompson

Today, track and field teams across the state will attempt to qualify to compete at Drake Stadium next Thursday through Saturday. Pella and Knoxville will head to Pella High School; Pella Christian travels to Central Decatur.
