The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Trixies Salon in Des Moines Friday morning, welcoming the business to the chamber. Owner Tricia Rivas tells KNIA News she is a big supporter of local chambers of commerce, and that is why she wanted to make the connection with Indianola.

“The chamber is what built our business. I get asked all the time because I do a lot of networking, what groups should I belong to? And the first thing I always say is belong to your local chamber. And we support the chambers that we have connections with, whether it is with the directors, the community, or the people that live in those areas. So for us that just made sense because we have so many people that come and support us from Indianola.”

The ribbon cutting was the fourth of the year for the chamber, with more planned for over the summer.
