Jim Butler Senior General Manager at KNIA/KRLS Radio Stations announced the Business and Broadcasting Scholarship winners for 2023.

Receiving the scholarship for 2023 were Hayden Hudson, Knoxville High School; Katelyn O’Neil, Indianola High School and Emma Danks, Pleasantville High School.

The KNIA/KRLS Scholarships have been presented for over 20 years. According to Butler, the scholarships are handed out to encourage young people to go into business or broadcasting and bring knowledge back to the area and set-up home here.

Butler commented, “We’re extremely happy to do this every year. It’s very difficult to choose the recipients because of the number and quality of the applicants we get.”

There were numerous applications from many of the schools in Marion and Warren County.
