The Pleasantville varsity baseball team swept a league baseball doubleheader over West Central Valley yesterday at home. The Trojans won 9-1 in the opener and closed with a 7-3 victory.
Dylan Aldrich pitched a complete game in the opener striking out 10. Aldrich was also the top hitter in the opener going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double.
In game two Brayden Kennedy earned the pitching win working four and two-thirds innings. The big Trojan bats were led by Caleb Cook 2-for-3 with a double, Jury Ellis and Parker Sheets each added one double and JJ Phillips pounded a triple.
The Trojans are 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The team will play Saturday at the Coon Rapids Bayard Tournament.
