woo-weekend

They tried to race in April, but weather interfered with the weekend, but at least for tonight, the weather looks good for the arrival of the World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Cars to the Knoxville Raceway. It has been a three driver battle for the points lead most of the way between Carson Macedo, who holds the points lead by just ten points over Brad Sweet and 22 points over 3rd place David Gravel. One driver who hopes to change his fortunes at the Knoxville Raceway this weekend is Sheldon Haudenschild, who is 6th coming into the Premier Chevy Dealers Clash. Haudenschild tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this week, while wanting to win and do as good as they can, it will also be a test session for the Nationals in August.

Haudenschild: “A lot of work goes into this weekend for all of the Outlaws, the car count will be great. A lot of the focus goes into this week and I know as a team we’re looking forward to that.”

The Pro Sprints will run tonight while the 360s will run their weekly show tomorrow night. Listen for live coverage with Live Track Side at 5:00 and Race Nights Live at 7:00 on the DeYarman Automotive Radio Racing Network on KNIA.
