It was another tough night for the Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad in a 12–0 loss to Moravia, while the softball squad and the Mohawks resembled a slow pitch softball game in a 15-13 win. Moravia used a six run 3rd inning to put the Saints away. The softball game was much more entertaining than what the Saints bargained for as they were one inning from going home early after plating six runs in the 6th to get up 15-5, but watched Moravia score eight unanswered to close to within two runs. Both teams were able to take advantage of each other’s errors as 20 combined mistakes plagued both teams. Melcher-Dallas did get 19 hits led by Jenna Mickey, Summer Karpan, and Kasyn Reed…who had four RBI. Emma Clark got the win going the distance striking out five. The Saints will host Mormon Trail tonight.
