Beau Leisure fanned 16 Davis County batters and the class 3A #4 Knoxville Baseball Squad stayed perfect in the South Central Conference with a 6-1 victory over the Mustangs while the softball Panthers were not as fortunate across the way on Panthers Drive in a 2-1 loss. One inning told the whole story as Davis County crossed the plate twice. The only Knoxville score was a Brittany Bacorn home run to left field. The Panthers were limited to five hits but had the winning run at the plate in the 7th but could not advance. Knoxville is now 10-7 on the season and 6-2 in the South Central Conference, while baseball is 22-1 and is perfect in 12 conference games. Softball heads to the Oskaloosa Classic today to play Van Meter and Burlington while baseball will head to Cardinal on Monday.
