The Indianola baseball and softball teams host Pella in a pair of Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheaders Monday, with both teams looking for a repeat of the single game contests in early June.

The softball team won 12-0 over the Dutch in the first matchup, scoring the 12 runs in the first three innings and ending the game early, and have gotten off to an 11-1 start in the Little Hawkeye Conference to sit in first place.

The baseball team has a crucial matchup with Pella, as both teams are in a three-way tie atop the conference standings at 9-3, with the Indians narrowly coming out on top in a come-from-behind matchup 5-3, scoring all five runs in one inning. Indians head coach Jon Fitzpatrick tells KNIA Sports the Indians have made a habit out of scoring all of their runs in a single inning this year, and they will need some more consistency in order to continue their success.

Game two of both doubleheaders will be broadcast live on KNIA and KRLS, with baseball on 92.1 KRLS with Andrew Schneider on the call, and softball on 94.3 KNIA with Andrew Swadner on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at approximately 7pm.
