The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council held a public hearing and approved amendments to the zoning ordinance for Title 9, adult cabaret. There was a discussion reviewing options on the domestic water and fire services lines in the 2023 Street Improvement Project and after consideration, no action was taken.
Council approved a change order for the water reclamation facility improvement project. They approved the use of $15,000 of city’s LMI (Low to Moderate Income) Funds to assist Habitat For Humanities Of Marion County to acquire a lot for a single-family home. They approved a resolution to support and fund public safety wages for the Fly Iowa Event hosted by the Knoxville Municipal Airport.
Council also approved a resolution setting salaries and wages for appointed officers and non-collective bargaining unit employees of the City of Knoxville for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 2023.
