The Pella Public Library invites the community to attend one of two Dementia Friendly Information Sessions next week. Two events will be held at 1 or 7 p.m. on Monday, June 26, presented by Dementia Friendly State Coordinator Megan Zimmerman.
In this one-hour session, several topics will be covered, including the basics of dementia, what it’s like to live with the disease, some tips for communicating with and supporting people who have dementia, and about available local resources. This program is free and open to the public and will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room.
Call the library at 641-628-4268 with questions about this or other upcoming library events.
