Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued at 3 p.m. on 6/24 in Marion County
Several reports of hail were confirmed by the National Weather Service for multiple rounds of thunderstorms Saturday. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and again from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m. for three total severe thunderstorm warnings, with updates coming in from Weatherology meteorologists. The National Weather Service received reports of quarter-sized hail in Indianola and pea-sized hail in Pella, Pleasantville, and at Lake Red Rock. Heavy rain impacted many area communities as well:

Knoxville (KNIA/KRLS) – .77″
Indianola – 1.25″
Pleasantville (near 92/5 interchange) – 2.9″
Pleasantville (Bailee the dog) – 2.5″
Pella (Fountain Hills) – 1.63″
Lake Red Rock (north side, near G-28) – 1.8″
