Marion County Public Health Registered Nurse Judi Van Hulzen reminds people of safety tips for the Fourth of July holiday.
The Health and Human Services Department reminds residents to stay cool and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. They also say to keep close supervision over children around fireworks. Health and Human Services suggests the use of sunscreen rated SPF 15 or higher and says to reapply it every two hours or more often if you are swimming.
Residents are advised to consult with their health care provider if they have questions.
