Wrapping up their regular season with a makeup game from June 6th, the PCM softball team fell to Newton 11-4.

The Cardinals struck first with a three-run first inning and pushed their advantage to 5-1 in the bottom of the third. The Mustangs battled back to pull within one run with three scores in the top of the fourth, but Newton responded with another six runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to pull away for the win.

The PCM softball team wraps up the regular season with a 16-10 record overall, and they will begin Class 3A Region 2 action on Wednesday when they host West Marshall.
