Four Warren County softball teams qualified to the state meet in Fort Dodge next week after winning their respective regionals, with #1 Martensdale-St. Mary’s and #3 Southeast Warren clinching on Monday in class 1A, and #2 Carlisle and #4 Norwalk in class 4A qualifying Tuesday evening, with all four teams making the return trip. The Warhawks fell in the state championship round while the Blue Devils fell in the semifinals both to eventual state champion Twin Cedars, while Norwalk fell in the class 4A opening round last year, and Carlisle fell to eventual state champion Winterset in the semifinals.
