The Knoxville Girls Minor League All-Stars ended their run in the State Tournament with an eight-to-one loss to Johnston on Sunday. Knoxville was held without a hit and scored its only run in the 3rd inning when Presley McKay stole home. At the State Tournament Knoxville beat Lemars 11-5 on Thursday, lost to Johnston 7-0 on Friday and defeated Grandview to get to the state title game on Saturday 13-2. In total the team went 5-2 after sweeping the district to get to the State Tournament.
