The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday, which included a presentation on city code enforcement during the work session prior to the meeting. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News there has been a years long effort to update city codes to match current best practice, and the city always wants to be respectful of the citizens of the community while enforcing code as approved by the council.
“We want to make sure that we are being good neighbors to each other, taking care of our properties and having our community look great. What community development has been doing is implementing a new software tracking system, making it really easy for people to log in, be able to put forth any kind of complaints or issues that they may see, and those now get track and are easy to follow off of our website.”
