As more and more visitors make their way to the Knoxville Raceway to cut glorified test sessions the next few Saturdays before Nationals, the weekly drivers still have a points race to navigate. Last week would have been termed Separation Saturday as the 410 points were shuffled significantly with the absence of Brian Brown, who was racing at the King’s Royal in Eldora. Austin McCarl, on the strength of his win last week, has a 196 point lead over Davey Heskin. That is a significant lead with just two more actual points shows including tonight remaining as next week’s All-Star Circuit of Champions event and the Capitani Classic which are show up points only events. The 360s also has a little distance between 1st and 2nd as Chase Randall’s lead over Jamie Ball has grown to 180 points, which is not insurmountable. The Pro Sprints have the closest race with Kade Higday and Chase Young separated by just 22 ponts. Listen to all the action starting with Live Track Side at 5:00 and Race Nights Live at 7:00 on the DeYarman Automotive Radio Racing Network on KNIA.
