A trio of wrestlers qualifying for the first ever state meet gets us to No. 10 on another loaded rundown of moments from Pella High School, this time from the 2022-23 year. As many schools started their programs with the new sanctioning of the sport, Pella High School had a largely new crew coming into the winter. Emmalee Spurgeon, Isabella Smith, and Elaine Babcock earned their spots among Iowa’s best on January 27th in the regionals. They were featured on Let’s Talk Pella. Spurgeon and Babcock would go on to win their first matches before falling twice in the remaining competition. All three return this winter for the Dutch.
