A Knoxville man was arrested Thursday afternoon for felony domestic assault.
According to court records, just after 2:00 pm on Thursday officers were dispatched to an apartment at 1301 Gebhardt Street in Knoxville regarding a man beating and choking his girlfriend. Upon arrival, at the residence officers made contact with 28-year-old Caden Sedlock of Knoxville and the victim.
The victim informed officers that after an argument, Sedlock placed his forearm across the victim’s neck and then placed his other hand over the nose and mouth area making her unable to breathe while he was holding her down on a bed. Sedlock was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Sedlock is being charged with domestic assault, impeding air flow causing bodily injury, which is a class D felony. He is being held in the Marion County Jail on a $2,000 bond and is due in court for a preliminary hearing on August 3rd.
