Facility upgrades to Pella Christian’s PC Stadium are near completion ahead of the 2023 fall sports seasons.

As part of the renovations on Eagle Lane, the retaining walls on the east and west sides of the stadium were torn down and concrete walls were built to be a more permanent fixture for the complex. Additionally, the football turf and track at PC Stadium have been replaced. The final step to complete the project is painting the track markings, which will take place later this fall. Eagles athletic director Dan Branderhorst said that while the facility is newer, it was time to upgrade the complex.

“I’ve had so many people ask me over the last three or four months, you’re really replacing the turf already how old is that? Well, actually, we’re approaching year number 15 here at Pella Christian and people often think, I can’t believe it’s been more than 10 years or whatever it is, because the facility around here is still new. We’re proud of our facility here, but excited that we’re ready to move forward and it’s going to be beautiful. We hope to see you out for our first football game, so you guys can experience the newly renovated PC stadium. We’re excited about it.”

The first official game at the renovated PC Stadium will be week two of the football season, when Pella Christian hosts Highway 163 rival PCM on Friday, September 1st.
