The four biggest days on the sprint car calendar have arrived. Tonight the green flag drops on the 62nd Running of the Nos Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals. Over 100 cars are entered with five past winners including last year’s winner Donny Schatz, who won the nationals for an 11th time in his career. Among other past winners include Brad Sweet, Tim Shaffer…David Gravel, Kraig Kinser, and current NASCAR Star Kyle Larson. Tonight and Thursday night help set the field for Saturday’s A-Main. After the first two nights of racing the top 16 are locked into the Saturday finale with four more coming from Friday’s Hard Knox Night and Saturday’s B-Main. The drivers will time trial first, and many say those two laps allotted to each driver are the most important laps they run all season.
