The Iowa State Fair begins today, and a local tourism group is returning to the event to showcase the Tulip City. Visit Pella is partnering with Central College for a booth at the Varied Industries Building during the 10-day event. Director Ann Frost says the fair attracts people from all Iowa counties and others from surrounding states, which are a big target audience for their organization in bringing visitors to Pella. Frost says several volunteers will be supporting their booth, which includes information about the annual Tulip Time celebration, the upcoming holiday season, and other attractions.
