The Pella Police Department is thankful for the community’s support after the community was once again named one of the safest in Iowa, according to Safewise. Pella ranked 3rd on a top 20 list of communities highlighted for their low violent and property crime rates. Only Sioux Center and Decorah ranked higher, based on the metrics.
