Warren County residents will be able to review the updated revisions of the Warren County Comprehensive Plan and Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance updates in an open house on Tuesday. The updates were approved by the board in July after a series of meetings and public forums.
A release from the county stated Warren County has experienced record rural residential development that influenced the safety and accessibility of new growth areas, and the need for the updates came from the previous zoning and subdivision ordinances inhibiting rural residential growth that would simultaneously support the wellbeing of residents and protect the rural character of the County.
The revised ordinances include additional definitions, reducing the number of residential districts from six to four, and allowing for non-commercial agricultural uses in rural residential districts. Find a link to the changes below.
The Ordinance Open House will be Tuesday from 3:30 to 6:30pm in the boardroom of the Warren County Administration Building.
