Unemployment remained largely the same locally in the latest update from Iowa Workforce Development.

The unemployment rate in Marion County remained steady last month at 2.2%. There are 19,690 residents employed and 450 seeking work and receiving benefits.

The rate slightly increased in Warren County to 2.6% in July from 2.5% in June. There are 29,500 employed and 800 people seeking work and receiving benefits.
