Friends of Webb Shadle Library is hosting a “Discover Pleasantville” event today.

This is a way to showcase the different clubs and organizations in Pleasantville in a career fair setting, giving people in the community a way to see how they would like to be involved. The event will be held on the back lawn of Webb Shadle Public Library starting at 4:00 pm.

Friends of Webb Shadle Secretary Jennifer Latch says they will offer a matchmaker service for anyone who doesn’t know what booth to check out. 

“We’re going to have a matchmaker table with our librarian JoEllen Glick who anyone who knows her loves her. She is going to run the matchmaker table and anybody that comes and isn’t really sure which of these two dozen tables should I go to, she can kind of help guide them based on their interest.” 

This is one of three community events happening in Pleasantville today. The other two events are a “Save East Elementary” informational event starting at 1:00 pm and a Pleasantville Christian Church Community Celebration starting at 5:30.
