Several local citizens had success at the 2023 Iowa State Fair in various livestock divisions. 

Peter Decious of Tracy won first place in the commercial doe class one division in the boer goat show. McCormick Farms of Indianola received first place in the commercial doe class 10 division. 

Nora Peterson of Knoxville finished fifth in showmanship for the 10 & under division for the state fair sheep show and Wyatt Vander Linden of Knoxville finished fourth in showmanship for the 11 to 15 year old division. Abi Vander Linden finished second in showmanship for the 16 to 21 division. 

Connie Boldt of Pella finished first in the miniature horse show for the AMHR Adult Jumper – Under division and third in the AMHR Adult Jumper – Over division.

In the English Society Horse Show, Cameron Knouse of Pella finished second in the Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Stake division. Addison and Ella Hartwick of Pella finished first in the Country Pleasure English 17 and under division along with finishing first in the Country Pleasure English Stake division. Abigail Van Kooten of Leighton finished first in the Saddle Seat Equitation 17 and under.
