The Knoxville Cancer Relay is looking for community members who want to sponsor signs honoring someone who has lost a battle to cancer.

Anyone can sponsor a sign during the 2023 Knoxville Cancer Relay Memory Mile. The Knoxville Cancer Relay will kick off on September 14th this year. This will be the 10-year anniversary of the event and the team will be running their farthest distance in its history. They are going to be running the entire state of Iowa from east to west and west to east. 

Event Runner and Organizer Jayme Braida talked about what purchasing a sign means. 

“We have the honor mile which you’ll see there are a lot of signs along the road. You can purchase one of those signs for a $10 donation. For a loved one, or yourself, anyone who has battled cancer, or maybe passed away, or survived.”
