The Simpson College football team begins the Reed Hoskins era today hosting Augustana. The Storm have had trouble over the last two seasons, going 1-9 in each, garnering just a single American Rivers Conference win each season. The Storm will see a mix of familiar and new faces with an entirely new coaching staff, but their young squad will have to match up with an Augustana team that brings back multiple fourth and fifth year seniors. Head coach Reed Hoskins tells KNIA Sports in order for the Storm to get back to their winning ways, they need to respond well to adversity.

‘When bad things happen we need to respond in the right way. We need to do a great job of possessing the ball, they’ve got an explosive offense. We have some big play opportunities, but we need to play complementary football. And our defense needs to tackle, that’s going to be a big part of it.”
