A local organization of over 100 men are working to help other charitable causes locally.
100+ Men on a Mission – Red Rock was founded in 2015 and has 160 active members that have raised more than $225,000 since the organization began. The group of men meet four times throughout the year, and members present a charitable cause they have a passion for. Those causes are then put into a bowl and three are selected from that process. The presenting member then pitches their cause to the other members, and 100+ Men on a Mission – Red Rock Treasurer Chris Dana says that the group votes on which organization receives their quarterly donation.
“Whichever organization receives the most votes, we write a $10,000 check to that organization. So, if you do the math though, there’s over 160 men who are typically actively involved, the first check for $10,000 goes to our first place winner, and then any funds that we raise above $10,000, we write a check to the second place organization for that quarter.”
