The PCM girls won the Pleasantville Cross Country Invite Monday night and the boys team finished fourth.

The Mustang girls finished with a team score of 53 points. Abi Teeter finished seventh and Tiffani Koonce finished eighth to help lead the PCM girls to a team victory. Teeter finished with a time of 20:22.60 and Konce finished with a time of 20:23.20. Not far behind them was Bailey Wheeler finishing 18th and Makayla True finishing 20th.

The boys finished with a team score of 110 points and they were led by Coby DeRaad, who finished eighth overall with a time of 17:20.40. PCM Cross County sophomore Abi Teeter talked about the bright future that this team has.

“I have a lot of hope for this team right now. Our practices have been phenomenal. We do speed workouts, we do everything. Seeing us together just fighting together as a pack, I think honestly we have a really bright future as a team but I think me and Tiff definitely lead that team to that future. I think with the young kids on this team we need some leaders and I can see Tiffani with the fire in her eyes and the fire in mine to push this team to state. It would be awesome if we could go again but this time as a team.”

PCM will compete at their home meet next Monday.
