After just one day off, the ranked Pella Christian cross country teams and the Eagles volleyball team are set to be back in action tonight.
Coming off of fourth place finishes at the Oskaloosa Invite on Tuesday, the Class 2A #11 ranked Pella Christian boys and #15 ranked girls cross country squads will run at Lynnville-Sully. The Eagles will compete against just one ranked team between the two races, with Collins-Maxwell checking in at #15 in the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association’s Class 1A girls poll.
While cross country is competing at Lynnville-Sully, the Pella Christian volleyball team will be in Urbandale for the Des Moines Christian quad. The Eagles will open and end the night with matches against ranked opponents, starting with Class 4A #14 Knoxville, and ending with Class 3A #3 Des Moines Christian. In between those matches, Pella Christian will rematch with Newton after a disappointing five-set loss to the Cardinals last week, before play Southeast Warren in their third match.
Both the Eagles cross country meet at Lynnville’s Diamond Trail Golf Course and the volleyball team’s quad at Des Moines Christian High School are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
