The 2023-2024 Pleasantville school year has been in progress for around four weeks, and several new staff members have started this year.
Typically Pleasantville has five to six new staff members each year, but this year over 20 individuals were hired at the school. With an increased number of new employees starting this year, Pleasantville Superintendent Tony Aylsworth says his and the district’s goal is to give them the resources and support they need to be successful.
“We want to equip them with all the things they need to do their jobs well, and so particularly at a time when it’s becoming harder and harder to hire and find great teachers, I feel like our staff, our HR staff, our principals, and our current staff did just a fantastic job of finding people who would be a great fit culturally here.”
