It is a busy day of sports for the Knoxville squads tonight. The cross country squads head to Newton for a meet. The Panthers will see various ranked teams and larger schools at Maytag Park including Ankeny Pella, North Polk, and Atlantic. Action is set to get underway at 5:15. The class 4A #14 volleyball squad will head to Clarke in a South Central Conference match. The Panthers hold sole possession of 1st place in the conference race after defeating Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont last Tuesday. While Clarke will be one of four remaining conference barriers to maneuver to the conference title, Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her girls have it under control.

Keitges : “Kids have a lot of fun with those, and I think they’ll be ready to play. Clarke is probably the toughest of the 4 remaining conference teams so I think the girls have been focused and ready to play.”
