Several local emergency crews were called to a house fire in Knoxville this morning. Firefighters were dispatched at 10:05 a.m. to 1001 East Robinson Street for a fully engulfed structure. Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman initially has called the house a total loss.

“While we were responding, we saw a pretty good header of smoke coming from the area,” he said. “On the scene we saw smoke and fire out the windows and the side door, and we made an aggressive attack on it, knocked it down, and made a search — all the victims were out and all the pets were out.”

No injuries have been reported. Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Police, Knoxville Township Rural Fire, Indiana Township Fire, Marion County Emergency Management, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were among the assisting agencies. The cause remains under investigation.
