The Norwalk boys golfers posted a 308 and placed sixth out of 11 teams in Wednesday’s Southeast Polk Invite at Copper Creek Golf Club.
Grady Sigrist once again turned in the Warriors’ top score of the meet, following up Monday’s 68 at Willow Creek with a three-over-par round of 74 to tie for seventh place. Norwalk also counted scores of 76 by Tillman Papcun and Mason Johnson and an 82 from Lane Juergens.
West Des Moines Valley won the tournament with a team score of 292, followed by Southeast Polk with a 294 and Ankeny’s 297. Jacob Adams of Ankeny earned medalist honors with a 68.
Norwalk’s next competition is the Little Hawkeye Fall Classic against Indianola and Dallas Center-Grimes on Wednesday, September 27. The meet will start at 8:00 a.m. at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes.
