Tonight is homecoming at Indianola High School, as they welcome Ballard to the Indianola Stadium to begin district play. The Indians are coming off of a lost against Warren County rival Carlisle, and face a Ballard team that brings back the majority of their starters from last season.

Indianola and Ballard are both looking to begin district play on the right foot, with wins meaning more as both teams ended non-district play at 2-2. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the two teams are similar in that they want to run the ball, and he is looking forward to seeing the guys back on the field after how last Friday went.

“We’ve got a bad taste in our mouth, and I think we’ve been humbled, that’s for sure. We understand this is going to be a big test for us, it’s an important game within our district, and I am just excited to see how our guys respond.”

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, and simulcast on the Indianola Activities YouTube channel. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
