The south parking lot and alley on the downtown Indianola square are open for commuters and parking, after months of construction to replace utilities and resurface the parking lot. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News there are pavers on the parking lot surface which will help allow for better stormwater drainage, and the city thanks the residents, property owners, and business owners and employees for their patience during the construction. Work on the west alley may begin this fall, weather permitting.
