The #14 in 4A Pella volleyball team had split fortunes at the Carlisle Invitational, going 2-2 overall. The Dutch defeated Glenwood 2-1 (20-22, 23-21, 15-11) and Des Moines East 2-0 (21-8, 21-6), but fell to the hosting Wildcats 2-0 (11-21, 15-21) and Southeast Polk 2-0 (17-21, 21-13).

Katie Scheckel finished the day with 32 kills and five service aces, Hunter Hughell had five aces and 34 assists, and Bryn Higginbotham had seven blocks. Pella is now 14-10 overall and returns home Tuesday for Little Hawkeye Conference action against Oskaloosa.
