The harvest season in south central Iowa is in full swing. With large farm machinery set to be on the highways and rural roads, Justin Huebner with Two Rivers Cooperative says drivers should be extra vigilant when traveling.

“There’s going to be a lot of tractors on the road, combines, and sometimes even those semis or grain trailers and stuff that aren’t maybe going as fast as we want them to go. Especially as impatient as we are nowadays, but it’s still Iowa. There’s going to be a lot of that in rural Iowa. So, I think the biggest thing is just to slow down and understand that it’s going to take a little bit of extra time. Nobody wants to be going that slow but that’s as fast as the equipment goes.”
