The nationally ranked #25 Simpson College women’s soccer team defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 3-1 Wednesday evening at Buxton Stadium. The Blugolds got on the board first and took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break, but the Storm offense caught up in the second half scoring three goals, with Cassie Nash finding the back of the net twice and Maddie Hays converting a penalty kick. Simpson improves to 8-1 overall, and plays on Sunday at Saint Benedict.
