Indianola Football Looks to Build Streak Hosting Boone

The Indianola football team is looking for a 2-0 start to district play tonight as they host the Toreadors of Boone at Indianola Stadium. The Indians are coming off of a thrilling comeback victory over Ballard last week on homecoming, where they featured a previously unseen passing attack, with quarterback Andrew DeWall throwing for 305 yards and three scores after Ballard focused on stopping a fearsome Indianola rushing attack. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports Boone plays an option offense that will require the defense to stay disciplined.

“A lot of misdirection type stuff, that’s been a focus all week long. Making sure our eyes are where they need to be, not in the backfield where they are trying to deceive us. So we have to play a solid game of defense, put the offense together again, and really be much, much better in our specials.”

The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA in addition to the video stream on Indianola Activities YouTube, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
