Knoxville Municipal Airport will be hosting the Knoxville Airshow and Family Festival today.
There will be a family fun festival at the airport starting at 1:00 that will have a petting zoo, bounce house, flight simulator, photo booth, plane train, rock climbing wall, door prizes, and much more. After the fun festival, the airshow will start at 4:30, involving many different impressive acts in the sky. After the airshow, there will be a concert starting at 6:00 by “The Nadas” featuring Neva Allen. General parking for this event will be west of Weiler and south of Van Wall Equipment.
Food trucks will be available all day during the event and concert. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to sit on during the show. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch talked about the excitement of this event.
“It’s super exciting. It’s something we haven’t had the opportunity to have for quite awhile. From what I understand from Katie out at the airport, it’s going to be quite the show. I hope people are excited about it. I hope we get people out there. It’s a big deal.”
Hatch will be skydiving to kick off the airshow.
