A field of Iowa’s best volleyball teams awaited Pella as the Dutch traveled to Urbandale Saturday, going 1-4 in the elite showcase. The Dutch defeated Sioux City North, but were swept in straight sets by #2 in 5A Ankeny Centennial (17-21, 18-21), #1 in 3A Western Christian (15-21, 15-21), Southeast Polk (18-21, 18-21), and #7 in 4A North Polk (23-25, 18-25). Pella’s overall record is now 16-14, and the road doesn’t get any easier heading into the new week, as the Dutch welcome #2 in 4A Indianola Tuesday.
