Drought conditions remained unchanged throughout south central Iowa in the latest weekly update. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 100% of Warren County and just over 75% of Marion County continue to see severe drought conditions. The northeastern corner of Marion County remains in moderate drought conditions. According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance for rain in the forecast for today, but sunny and cooler conditions are expected to resume through next week.
