The area community is invited to support the Pella Fire Department on Saturday. The annual breakfast to kick off fire prevention week is a fundraiser for the volunteer city and rural departments and will run from 6 to 10 a.m. at the fire station on Main Street. Justin Trenkamp and Mike Branderhorst with the Pella Fire Department both say the morning will have a wide range of activities for families and a fundraising raffle and silent auction. Proceeds will benefit water rescue equipment.
