The Pleasantville football team defeated the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets 35-0 on Friday’s senior night.
The Trojans have started to hit a stride these last two weeks, outscoring their last two opponents 74-0. Pleasantville is finding success with new starting quarterback Braylon Bingham, and Caleb Cook continues to be a superstar for the Trojan offense. Pleasantville Head Football Coach Mack Jorth was excited about their offensive performance Friday night.
“Offensively Caleb Cook ran really hard. Our offensive line blocked tremendously well and obviously we had big playmakers on the outside that didn’t need to do a lot but boy Braylon Bingham threw the ball well. Leerhoff had a big touchdown catch, and some other guys made big catches to keep drives alive.”
Pleasantville improves to 4-3 overall on the season and 2-2 in the district. The Trojans will travel to Eldon next week to take on the Cardinal Comets in their regular season finale.
