Indianola Football Looks for Upset Hosting #2 ADM
The Indianola football team looks to continue their undefeated home mark this season on senior night, but will have their toughest test of the season hosting #2 ADM. The Indians are coming off of a 27-0 loss to North Polk where they mustered just 84 yards of offense on a cold and windy night, and will have to do much better against a Tigers team that is averaging 43 points per game and are undefeated in district play. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the path to a postseason appearance is tough if they don’t win this game, and they will have to try and contain ADM quarterback Aiden Flora, who has over 2,200 all-purpose yards so far this season.
“You’ll watch really good players have the angle on him on film and think there is going to be a tackle, maybe a five yard gain, and then he’s still running for a touchdown. He is that explosive, he’s that fast. He’s not a big guy, but he’s really difficult to take down. When they throw the football, we are going to have to have guys trying to spy him, we are going to have to be good tacklers in the open field, we’ve gotta get some pressure up front and can’t let him sit back there and find open receivers. We’ve got to do our part defensively, owning the line of scrimmage.”
The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA in addition to the Indianola Activities YouTube stream, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
