The Indianola School Board reviewed the district’s strategic plan moving forward at their meeting last week, which included ways to hold the board and district accountable to goals that have been set for students and staff satisfaction. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the district is going through each building and department such as facilities, transportation, finance, technology, and teaching and learning.

“What we’ll do is hold ourselves accountable, it’s called a vision card. And what we’ll do is have surveys and results that come back, whether it is ISASPS or FAST or financial data, and we’ll grade ourselves out on what that looks like. And if we aren’t doing a good enough job we have to look at what we are doing and make changes.”
