The harvest season is ongoing in south central Iowa. Despite the drought that has persisted throughout the state, Grain Division Manager at Two Rivers Cooperative Justin Huebner says that many local producers have enjoyed good yields so far.

“Most of our producers have been pleasantly surprised by how good the yields were. And we’ve had pretty good weather to kind of keep the combines rolling and we’re just at the point of keep plugging away at it. And we’ve had pretty good windows of weather after we got through a few days of fog that we were fighting and whatnot, but now we’ve kind of cleaned it all up and in pretty good order. And so, we’ve had good progress and we’ve been pretty fortunate in our trade territory to have some pretty good yields and definitely better than what we were kind of expecting heading into the harvest.”
